Terms of Service
The agreement between your church and EJAD for using the platform.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, signing an order form, or using EJAD, your church ("Customer", "you") agrees to these Terms of Service. If you're accepting on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The service
EJAD is a church management software-as-a-service platform covering people & families, groups, events & check-in, giving, volunteers, communications, workflows, and reporting. We may add, change, or retire features over time as the product evolves; we'll do our best not to remove core functionality you rely on without notice.
3. Accounts & eligibility
Accounts for new churches are created by our team through a sales-led onboarding process — there is no public self-registration. You're responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your login, including actions taken by staff and volunteers you invite. Notify us immediately at security@ejad.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Free trial
New churches typically receive a 60-day free trial. We may change trial length or eligibility at our discretion. At the end of a trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription; we'll contact you before any charge begins.
5. Subscription & billing
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, based on your active member count and number of campuses, per the formula shown on our Pricing page. Annual billing receives a 15% discount. Fees are exclusive of applicable taxes. You can cancel anytime from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and we don't provide partial-period refunds except where required by law or offered at our discretion (for example, our 60-day trial-to-paid transition).
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use EJAD to: violate any law; upload data you don't have the right to collect or process; attempt to breach or disrupt the security of the service; resell or white-label the platform without a written agreement; or send unsolicited bulk communications unrelated to your congregation. We may suspend accounts that pose a security or legal risk to other customers.
7. Your church's data
Your church owns the data it enters into EJAD. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Addendum. You can export your data at any time from Settings → Backup, and again for a limited period after cancellation.
8. Intellectual property
EJAD retains all rights to the platform's software, design, and branding. These terms don't grant you any ownership in EJAD beyond the right to use the service as subscribed. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
EJAD relies on third-party providers to operate — for example Stripe for payments, Resend for email delivery, and Twilio for SMS. Your use of features backed by these providers (e.g. giving, text messaging) is also subject to their applicable terms. See Data Processing for the current subprocessor list.
10. Termination
Either party may terminate the subscription at the end of a billing period. We may suspend or terminate access immediately for material breach of these terms, non-payment, or conduct that risks the security of the platform or other customers. Upon termination, your right to access the service ends, though data export remains available for a limited window as described above.
11. Disclaimers
EJAD is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, EJAD will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold EJAD harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or data you upload in violation of applicable law or a third party's rights.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless a signed order form with your church states otherwise.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We'll notify active customers by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.
